Hoosier Lottery Hometown Host Audition Video

Here is my 60-second audition for the Hoosier Lottery’s Hometown Host contest. The lottery was seeking an on-air talent to host nightly lottery drawings after a 10-year absence from Indianapolis (and statewide) TV.

Lottery officials furnished a script, allowing for some improvising, with the main requirement being the video not exceed 60 seconds. Nearly 60 entrants submitted videos and I made it to the semi-final round of 20. After hosting telethons for public television, I realized I was surprisingly relaxed in front of a video camera. I enjoyed this experience as it allowed me to develop a unique presentation despite being given a fairly rigid script.

Who knows, maybe another on-camera TV opportunity will arise!

That's my take, what's yours?
